When politicians listen to us and promises are translated into action as the card for people with disabilities we proposed to the mayor Mario Utrilla, last September, to participate in activities organized by the council at a discount of 50 percent, meaning a positive gesture, a way of telling the groups of people with reduced mobility are not disabled for life. Such gestures are very important because they help a lot to overcome barriers in this case emotional, knowing we can be part of the entertainment, culture, sport of our peoples.
disability knows no political ideology but of acceptance by the administration. accept that there is a group that needs a recess in the pavement to reach their destination is a way of making us feel that we are one world. We think that the objectives we are working with the association "Disabled in Action" are not exclusive to disabled now but also for society in general. Note that the current population will have a high percentage of older people compared with other generations and young people it depends also on the rise for several reasons, traffic accidents, new diseases etc.
I have very clear that our effort, as an association, will be used by many people a future in the medium to long term and I am convinced that at some point in their lives, appreciate that many people have been making fine moral respect of car parking spaces in the town hall steps to remove architectural barriers, workshops peace to share tools that transform us from within, to have a positive attitude, learning to life is wonderful but it also has another dark side.
When you understand that life is a constant learning frees you from much suffering. We live with the idea that I am happy that all is well and there is the origin of many of our ills. All the techniques that have helped me had in common accept my reality and find the answer that put my life over the disease in my case.
We have to keep working because we have had in the first person and now in this present moment we are very excited to continue to help and be the change we want in the towns where we live.
